It might seem odd,but the question questioning my senses is as simple if you keep a WHY before each. Questioning WHY might seem irrelevant to the current development of science,but i feel it is the only question we need to ask for to get the answers of all others. Asking why something happens is quite reasonable,but not relevant to us as we want to know HOW something works,study it,transfer its method into how it will be useful for us. Yes,it is called Technology. But is it just fair to study science only for the development of technology? I am not denying the fact that Technology have only helped us to be better and even better in our scientific experiments. But i feel the scientists have been losing the virtue of their curious quest towards underlying principles. I have said this much philosophy in the above lines is only to mention you my stand regarding the questions i am going to arise. I hope you will keep your critic views against my approach till you finish reading this.
While i was studying the Newtons laws of motion and equations,i felt something missing. Initially i thought it was due to my inexperience in them. In the following years i have still not understood the Newtonian laws of motion as i still don't know what is INERTIA to be specific. Without knowing that,i feel incomplete in understanding what is a force or energy. We call energy as the fundamental form of CAUSE causing factor,which is usually formed due to the existence of something called A POTENTIAL. Mathematics have helped us to form how they looks like. But still there is no unified for of Energy or potential cease to exist. Why i looked for a Unique way to represent ENERGY via a single equation is only to understand it in the most generalised way so that we can use that interpretation everywhere in the physical world. May be my wrong chain of thoughts.
We are sure that,every massive forms has energy. either in a usable way or as a potential stored in them. But General relativity have given the possibility that,SPACE itself can be considered as a form of energy. Why i am quoting this is only to consider the concept of 'Space has energy'.
Like every one,what confused me next was of course TIME. We study every physical processes based on time. We create equations of most of the physical phenomenons with respect to TIME. It like TIME is a universal unique reference we have. But still we don't know why TIME happens? We don't know WHY it causes every physical phenomenons to occur.
We need TIME to make anything occur. This questions the ability of physics to exist. What happens to physics if there was no fundamental concept of time?
Next idea which confuses is the the concept of Entropy. Entropy is often referred as a measure of order and disorder.
What caught my eye,was the similarities between TIME and ENTROPY. They both always evolves unidirectional, there can't be no negative values- they can only be increased. You can't control them,when a physical process is being happened.
SO,i tried to flip TIME and ENTROPY. What will happen if we consider entropy instead of time?
Now we are considering a new universe. There is a single particle in it. Nothing else. We define some more locations inside it,so that the particle could move to those locations if we provide time. Say we have totally 10 locations. Our particle is initially residing at one of them. It has other 9 locations to go. Now we consider our universe is blessed with time. Assume that our universe is not expanding our accelerating during this time. Only the physical process of particle's movement can occur. Nothing else. We are restricting to this condition.
Now what is the unit of time? lets call it 1,2, and so on whatever the unit let it be.
In first unit of time,the particle goes to any one of the other 9 locations it could. In the next unit of time,it again goes to any one of the remaining possible locations. In further units of time,this continues until 'n' unit of time has occurred. Now we trace back the path taken by our particle from the initial condition to this final state. We could now calculate the total number of ways it could have taken,provided there is no biasing in movement. When we use some statistical equations and,finding the total number of states using the famous Boltzmann equation,i got an equation S=cT, where S is the entropy and T is the total time and c is a constant. What does this imply? In the universe we have chosen ,under the conditions we specified,where only TIME and MOVEMENT was a physical process,we could see ENTROPY exists,and its relation with the TIME of that universe is proportionally linear.
From S=cT, we can see T=S/c. Now why don't we replace T in most of our equations? Could we formulate the entire sets of equations w.r.t Entropy instead of time? I wish we could. I need a little maths help here.
Now extending this method into our known universe,we have to adopt energy changes,motion,potential,temperature,pressure or any other basic physical things we need to specify our universe and finally to check their existence under accelerated expansion.
My primary target is to achieve an Entropy based model for the physical world,which replaces time with the possibilities (entropy) to exist. By which,if it is possible,i could establish the possibility of Time being just a statistical and emergent phenomena during our maths.
My secondary aim is to study the universe as a Complex Adaptive System,which non-linear in nature,but self sustaining. I wish i could connect this with my mathematical idea of higher dimensional self evolving model which i have done at OAR workshop.
Totally,I am checking whether our concept of universe could be either a Entropy dependent self evolving higher dimensional entity or an Entropy dependent self evolving normal cavity.
Both this will finally give rise to the possibility of existence of other ensembles like our universe. or the Multiverse theory.
I have more ideas to connect my statements theoretically. Some of them are:
The constancy of light,inertial and non-inertial frames,reason for motion.
How something happens-when they don't have the previous knowledge of that was possible.
How an object knows,it could move when energy/force is supplied to move (unless it has intelligence like us)
Entropy gives rises to the measure of possibilities,which might be telling us that,availability of the possibilities are the reason behind any physical processes. Which means, TIME,MOTION or any other physical processes are just the consequence of availability of 'we call call it the Entropy' (I am not yet satisfied)
